MIAS and the Services DIN & JSP 419 2


MIAS has continued to develop course programmes to meet the prerequisites and of international standards and the services, ensuring that we can continue to offer valuable civilian and military accredited courses current to the Joint Services Mountain Biking Scheme. Some of the ground breaking work we have done recently is to develop and run:

  • QCF L2 (GCSE) Assisting in Mountain Bike Leadership Activity
  • QCF L3 (A Level) Mountain Bike Leadership Activity
  • QCF L3 (A level) Cycle Maintenance
  • MIAS is at the forefront of development

Good News!!
MIAS is recognised and is seated within the Services DIN.
MBL1- Non-Technical Terrain (courses available for a one day update to MBL2)
Your award will continue to be valid as a MIAS MTB Leader/coach until April 2016. You will need to upgrade your award for military purposes only and we are offering an MBL2 one day assessment upgrade. Courses will be available (Please contact).
MBL2- Technical Terrain
There is no change in the positioning of your qualification and you can continue to lead groups at the permitted level. Your qualification maps across to the military scheme.
MBL3- Mountain Terrain
There is no change in the positioning of your qualification and you can continue to lead groups at the permitted level. Your qualification maps across to the military scheme.
